Frye Women's Billy Inside Zip Tall Western Boot - Stylish Cowgirl Boots for Riding, Country Fashion & Everyday Wear

I loved the boot, however I sent it back because the area around the calf to the knee stuck out several inches. A boot like this should be more tailored to to a women’s legs.I love the color of these boots! They are made well and will last for years. The boots are still relatively new, but “not brand new” sort of speak. So the leather will stretch with wear I guess. In my first impression, and I could be wrong, but the boots looked like they have already been worn or used. Perhaps the markings under the boots were from customer(s) trying them on at the store. The boots are “brand new” out of the box, except for the bottom of the boots. Overall, they are beautiful boots and will recommend this pair!These boots are beautiful leather with a leather sole. They do come completely up to my knee and are about 1” taller than any of my other knee boots, which is a bit of a problem because they are very snug around my calf. And there is no gusset or anything at the top of the boots in order to allow for some expansion. All knee boots that I have ever owned have some type of adjustment at the top, which is very nice. I am going to have to find a way to stretch the circumference at the top in order to wear them comfortably. So, if you’re tall and slim, these boots might be perfect for you, but I am keeping mine and going to stretch them at the top in order to make them feel more comfortable. Beautiful boots at a fantastic price! Got them at Dillard's for $149.95!!!I ordered two different style Frye boots. These were both beautiful boots!!! I ordered them in multiple sizes; 7, 7.5, 8, extended wide calf and regular calf. My normal size is a 7 and my calfs are a bit on the larger side, 14.5”. I noticed that my normal shoe size fits best in the footbed area and in this Carson style, I did not need the wide calf! Are you shocked...because I was floored! (The Carson is the boot on the right in my picture with the rounded toe)But I also ordered the Frye Billy tall zip boot. Basically the same boot but Billy has a pointed toe. I ended up going with this Billy boot. The Billy runs true to size in the footbed but slightly smaller in the calf area, so I got the wide calf in that style. Both boots are gorgeous and exceptionally well made. You’ll have them for years.The boots are good quality and comfortable.My legs are medium wide but the boots are too wide in ankle and on top.These are my second pair of Frye boots. They are so solid and lush. I am in love.... I'm going to toss out all my other substandard boots and wear these and my other Frye boots all winter. They are very comfortable. You have to wear them a couple of times, though, to soften them a little. I always buy a half size larger than my shoe size to allow for thicker socks and they're a perfect fit that way.When I first tried them on they were very difficult to get in and off but fit really well once I got them on. I decided to wear them around the house during the day right when I got them and they immediately became easier to get on and off. They are exactly what I was hoping they would be!Too tight around calf! The boots are beautiful and I wish I hadn’t had to return them. My calf is small and was surprised how tight boot fit! Everything where else where a fit good. ☹️
