We just got new furniture a couple of weeks ago. We had a faux leather furniture before this set and the cats did not try to scratch that set. We got the new set home and started hearing one of our cats try to sharpen her claws on it. I mean I'm sure it does look like a giant scratching post from her perspective. I immediately started looking for a solution to our problem. I ordered a scratching post, a scratching hammock, and these sticky tapes. Our Gracie wouldn't have anything to do with either of the scratching post. The only thing that deterred her was the sticky tape. The package came with 8 clear, double sided tapes on a white waxy paper. They are large enough to cover the corner of the arm where she has been trying to scratch. I have had them on for about a week now. She has only tried a couple of times to scratch since we put them on. I wanted to see if there was any residue on the couch after a week so I peeled a spot back and so far there is not. I will say that I would NOT apply these to leather or faux leather. I can see them leaving a residue or peeling the top of the faux leather. I am completely happy and would highly recommend this product. My sofa has been scratched by my cat. To protect my new rocking chair, I purchased this cat scratch deterrent tape at Amazon.com. It's very easy to use, just need to put deterrent tape in the chair. It has been three days. So far, the cat has not scratched my rocking chair, just added and sniffed around it, occasionally reaching with paws and always leave quietly. So I think the tape did play a role in protecting my chair. I also tried to use the deterenet tape to stick the hook in my bathroom. Beyond my expect it is stronger than the original glue. Great! ! ! !I took the tape off the white paper and put it on my sofa. My cat scratched on it time to time, but did not leave. This was not the kind of the training I wanted, I hope he will leave my furniture alone as soon as possible. Later, I found that there was another transparent layer on the tape, so I peeled it off, and the surface became sticky. The cat continued scratching on it for a few times. On the third day, I saw he finally left my sofa and came to the new place I set for him. I hope he could keep that. At the same time I found the tape became dirty. There were cat hair and lint. Very ugly. Before I was able to take the tap off the sofa, my kids had some fun with it - they put their alphabets on it.Didn't expect this tape to be a toy, LOLMy lovely Kitty always ran to my sofa to sleep, and occasionally scratched his claws on my expensive leather sofa. (It has already scratched some small marks) It hurts a lot. A few days ago I bought this Kitty training tape and put it on the place where I like to scratch my claws. The day before, he would scratch the training tape from time to time, but the next day, it changed the base camp and went to the other end. went. I can't laugh and can only re-implement my training program. After a few days, I left my sofa and moved to the new house I had prepared for him. So I can safely tear the training tape off.Big enough to cover the arm chair - favorite target of my cat. They don't cover the pretty fabric. This is the perfect product to discourage a cat from clawing the furniture. So glad I found it! Better to use a damp cloth to gently wipe the cover surface to prevent traces of residual glue when removing. Why do the nails of cat grow so fast? The more I helped him cut, the faster he grow. The scratches on the kitchen locker door were getting deeper and deeper. I was worried about the door of the locker. The door would be bad. I decided to buy this anti-cat tape. It really helps prevent further damage to our cabinets. I covered anti scratch tape where it is frequented. In a few days, it really stopped coming to this stronghold, but to find new targets again. I tried to use this anti scratch tape in his new stronghold. I installed the kitchen, sofa, doors and stairway. This secret weapon, once he ouched the part covered with tape, he would covered with tape, he would stop scratching within the range he touched. Finally, I tought of placing a special thing for him at the corner of the door. This will effectively protect my precious furniture.I have cats for almost 25 years. I bought this for my parent's cat, as their sofa was destroyed badly by the scratches. The delivery is very fast in snow days. There are 8 papers in the packet. They are sturdy and the surface is smooth. I believe cats won't like them and they will definitely serve the purpose. You need to peel off the white coverage. The two sides are sticky. This product ruined the very product it was meant to protect. Just bought 2 brand new leather accent chairs ruined. 1st piece of decent furniture I have ever bought.... this product pulled off a layer of leather. But yay! ?? At least the cats didn’t scratch the chairs....also these have no tabs to help separate the layers it can be very frustrating to get the double sided sticky away from the backing. The streaking in color was caused by the product. In areas it made good contact with the first layer of leather was taken off with the product removal. The stickyness had worn off the outside and I went to change out the product for new ones.. and discovered the it was alter the color, texture, and taking actual leather from the chairs.
