The bristles are very soft and the handles seem well made and sturdy. Also-I try to update my reviews, so they may change over time.My experience level:I’m a makeup enthusiast, not a makeup artist.First impressions:I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do! They came packaged so well, and I was impressed with the quality! These looks as good as some of my more expensive brushes I’ve gotten from BoxyCharm.Color: these are true to color- a lovely mint shade-Smell:I want to warn anyone with order issues, that when I first got these-through the box-I could smell a strong chemical glue smell. It turns out it was coming from the bag. I opened the bag- bending it so it’d stay open, and after two days it was fine. Whew! I was worried because I really liked the bag and I wasn’t sure I could put up with that smell on the brushes. (Luckily, I didn’t ever smell it on them)Use:I find these to be soft- sometimes that’s not the best because you want to pack more on the brush- but they performed well. When I test brushes, I like to pull out my pallets that have the LEAST payoff, to see what they pick up, and I was happy with the results. I will use a few stiffer brushes when I pull these out- mix and matching, but I see this as a good kit starter even without stiffer brushes.I'm a sucker for anything makeup, especially new brushes. I got these brushes in a bright yellow and I absolutely loved them they are eye-catching. These brushes are vegan so no animal fur was used in these brushes nor was these brushes tried out on animals. They are a synthetic fiber but they are super soft as if they were using real animal fur but they aren't. The brushes are soft to the touch and soft when rubbed onto the face. I didn't run into any issues of bristles falling out when rubbing them on my skin dry or with my foundation. You get enough brushes to do your whole face. You get eyeshadow brushes, blush, and foundation brushes. You also get a storage and carrying pouch, which makes this very easily giftable. I Didn't experience the makeup brushes soaking up the makeup and making me use more. I also didn't have an issue with blending and creating different looks with these. They clean easy also, I used some dawn antibacterial soap and some extra virgin olive oil in a mixture to help break down the makeup and to sanitize the brushes all at once. I allowed mines to air dry and then they were dry, they were just as soft as the first time. I have now used these brushes a good 8-9 times and I have not experienced any issues and I absolutely recommend these brushes to beginners or someone who is more advanced.These brushes are an absolutely beautiful Citrus yellow color, and definitely make great statement pieces in my bathroom. I ordered these brushes mainly for the large ones because they're so big and fluffy. And, they definitely did not disappoint me.They are great for applying powder, blush, bronzer, and contouring around the face. The brushes do not pick up a large amount of product, which creates huge blobs of color on your face. They pick up the perfect amount that can be softly layered on the face without leaving demarcation lines. Due to extremely dry eyes, I'm unable to wear makeup on or around my eyes anymore. But, I do find using the largest small brush great for contouring the sides of the nose. The others, I'm sure I will find great uses for whether it be with makeup or some other purpose.They only problem I had with this makeup set is the bag. There is a very strong chemical smell that did not disappear, even after a couple of weeks, and it really aggravated my asthma. Sadly, I had to end up having two rid of the bag.Overall, I'm extremely happy with these makeup brushes, as they are everything and more then I was looking for. Especially the large ones, and apart from the bag, of course, I highly recommend this wonderful makeup brush set.
