I used this paint to cover some rusty old sheet metal roofing on a couple sheds. Both roofs would do to be replaced but with the current cost of replacement metal I thought it worth a gamble on the paint. Very rusty places were primed with rust primer and the more sound surfaces got only the aluminum paint. The paint was applied with a wide brush and went on easily, one 400 sq. ft. roof was covered in about 1.5 hours. Procedure was to begin at the high point of the roof and drizzle a brush load onto the roof followed by quick strokes, one brush load would cover maybe 6 sq. feet so it went quickly. Coverage was given as 600 sq. ft. which i doubted initially but sure enough it did cover about 550 sq feet of metal and some was left over. The surface looks aluminum shiny and gives the impression of being durable. That's the remaining question, how long the material will last. Of course that's unknowable but so far I'm quite impressed with the product.Product works great. This is only one coat! I used Corroseal to prime rusty tank let cure 48 hours and applied paint. A little paint goes a long way using a roller. Make sure you have a stir stick and some paint thinner this paint is sticky. 300 gallon gas tank only took up 1/8 of the gallon.Great product, I painted 20 livestock panels and only used 1/2 gallon. This stuff goes a LONG WAY! Bought a gallon to paint my propane tank, could have done it with a quart or maybe just a pint and had enough left over to paint another one, literally only used a half inch out of the gallon to do this tank from scratch…. Hides good, flows good and already thin enough to spray…. And STILL stretches that far… Great bang for the $$$I have a sun room that measures 15x22 and the roof is extruded foam with aluminum top and bottom.Over the course of 20 years the finish on the exterior has worn off and the bare aluminum was showing.I pressure washed the roof and when dried I applied Diamond Brite Paint 46000. It went on very well, I used a roller with a tight nap.I only wished I had put on sun glasses. I was in direct sun light and the glare became a bit much the more paint I applied.I had about a ¼ gallon left after I completed the roof, so I used the rest along the edges (just to use up the rest of the paint). My roof looks great and I have noticed a drop in temperature in the room of 10 degrees.I may need to stir it better, but the overall coverage for a cast iron radiator is excellent. We have a few styles, and on the smooth one it is streaky. On the one with raised ornamentation, the coverage is great, maybe because I had to brush it multiple angles to make it go into the. raised parts. Super shiny and beautiful.where thin coated it looks great. Brushed in crevaces and corners it doesnt dry. weeks later i still get paint on hand if i touch parts. Time will tell how it holds up.I sprayed three gallons of this paint in about 41/2 hours. I painted a 12 foot diameter metal corn crib. It covered very well. I had the building sand blasted before I painted. I'm pleased with the results. A good product. Time will tell it's resilience.
