I opened a new quart can of oil-based paint and attached this hoping I could pour paint into a roller tray.It was not at all effective - paint spilled off the sides of the spout and backed up so it also spilled over the rim of the paint can.The spout needs to be wider so that it extends beyond the halfway point of the can's rim, as well as wider towards the end of the spout.It might work okay on a less than full can - I'll know better this afternoon when I go for a second coat.EDIT: Just does not work well with today's thicker viscosity paints. Might work okay if one were pouring water of a can, but not so well with paint.2nd EDIT: It appears to have been manufactured by a 3D printer which results in a textured surface that is very difficult (if not impossible) to clean.
